When VDL introduced a new generation of powerful batteries and a cutting-edge electric drive system, they knew it called for more than an update — it needed a completely new vision. As longstanding design partners behind the VDL brand identity and multiple vehicle platforms, MODYN was brought in to shape the next generation of Citea buses — starting from the ground up, with a focus on futureproof design and electric performance.

Picnic is a pioneer in online grocery delivery across the Netherlands, Germany, and France, operating entirely through its digital platform. The company’s fleet of electric delivery vehicles — the ePVs — serve as its most visible physical brand touchpoint on the street.

To support Picnic’s mission of delivering groceries with a smile, we partnered closely with their team to translate the brand’s friendly, approachable identity into a distinctive visual language for their ePVs. The result is a vehicle design that not only stands out, but brings the brand’s values to life in every neighborhood it serves.

Agrifac, a market leader in farming machinery, had made major strides in advancing the technology behind their sustainable sprayers. But while the innovation under the hood was impressive, the design no longer reflected the company’s progress or modern customer expectations.

That’s where MODYN came in. Agrifac challenged us to elevate and streamline the design to align with their cutting-edge technology — and to bring our automotive production expertise to the table, helping them select the right materials and manufacturing techniques for a future-ready product.

Thinking outside the box, MODYN took up the challenge to help envision a new kind of passenger ferry — one that rethinks waterborne mobility through the lens of sustainability, accessibility, and smart design. As longtime collaborators, we joined forces to explore how the brand’s electric-first philosophy could extend beyond land to sea.

Together, we developed a conceptual ferry design that blends Arrival’s modular approach with a human-centered travel experience — delivering not just a vision for the future of maritime transport, but a blueprint for innovation on the water.
