Our design journey began with an unwavering focus on safety and innovation, pushing us to exceed the latest EU standards (2022). As urban mobility evolves, with faster (e-)bikes and denser traffic, the challenge was clear: create child seats that integrate seamlessly with the sleek lines of modern e-bikes while delivering superior protection. The result is a product that not only meets but anticipates user needs. By centering our process on real-life user experiences, we ensured that ergonomics, comfort, and user-friendliness were foundational to every design decision. We recognized that the child seat market was ripe for evolution, and Prodigee’s ICON Seats were the answer.
The Prodigee ICON Seats are crafted for those who value style, comfort, and uncompromised safety. Much like a parent’s protective embrace, the rear seat’s structural frame wraps around the seat and headrest, offering unparalleled security. This thoughtful design prioritizes head protection, outperforming other brands. The shock-absorbing padding ensures comfort for even the longest journeys. The rear seat grows with your child up to 22kg, featuring an adjustable headrest, harness, and footrest. Meanwhile, the more compact front seat, though lacking an adjustable headrest, provides robust protection for children up to 16kg. These seats are not just accessories; they’re an invitation to rediscover family cycling with renewed confidence.
Form The ICON Seats stand out with a futuristic, minimalist design that complements contemporary (e-)bike aesthetics. Our design addresses the critical need for safety, enhancing head protection and redefining helmet space. Unlike any other seat on the market, the ICON series truly embraces the child. Fully recyclable, the seat frames are made from 100% polypropylene, and the shock-absorbing padding ensures comfort. Chemical safety was a top priority when selecting materials, reflecting our commitment to well-being.
Function The rear seat adapts with your child’s growth, featuring a height-adjustable headrest, a 5-point safety harness, and adjustable leg rests for a secure, comfortable ride. Comfort and safety are enhanced by ergonomic support and shock-absorbing EVA padding in key areas. The design also shines in user-friendliness: installation is a breeze, thanks to the open-up harness system, and an integrated lock provides extra security.
